Welcome! I am a Ph.D. candidate at the University of Georgia.

My interests include human rights, state intervention, naming and shaming, and the effects international organizations can have on domestic political behavior. My dissertation leverages human rights naming and shaming as a tool for affecting public opinion and domestic political behavior in repressive countries. It explores how the citizenry uses this information, and whether they act to peacefully or violently remove their abusive leaders from power as a result of their increased attention to repressive policies. My work on these subjects has been published in Research & Politics, and is conditionally accepted at the Journal of Human Rights.

When I’m not working, you can likely find me relaxing with my dogs at home, playing some board games with friends, or enjoying a round of ultimate frisbee.
